SW3 - Integrated sustainability: Solutions from the housing sector
With more than 25,000 apartments throughout the City of Malmö and every sixth resident as a tenant, Malmö’s public housing company MKB plays a central role in Malmö becoming a sustainable city.
This workshop will explore MKB’s integrated sustainability concept, according to which multiple sustainability efforts are conducted in parallel. The concept builds on the conviction that successful sustainability work requires a capacity to focus on several areas persistently and at the same time. This firm and integrated commitment to sustainability is also central to MKB’s capacity to fulfil its commercial objectives.
The speakers will provide a number of concrete, replicable and interlinked examples of MKB’s sustainability efforts within the three areas ESG (environment, social and governance).
