The tour starts with a presentation of Ekostaden Augustenborg and its transformation into a world-renowned eco-neighbourhood. The tour continues with the discovery of the Botanical Roof Garden in which green roof technology is developed and demonstrated.
The third part of the visit consists of a walking tour through the neighbourhood to learn about the district’s unique open stormwater management, green infrastructure, recycling system, community gardens and cooperative businesses. Augustenborg is also known for its new apartment block: Greenhouse. The building is a 14-story passive house focused on cultivation with many climate-smart solutions incorporated into its design.
