Green harbours of hope: How cities, migration and sustainability can work together

Cities are on the frontlines of the crises we face – climate change, housing, migration and more. Environmental sustainability and international migration are interlinked in many ways – from global displacement due to climate impacts to the inclusion and exclusion of migrants (and their descendants) in local development (e.g. urban segregation).

Local governments can play a key role in addressing these challenges, but experience shows that success ultimately rests on their ability to work together with local civil society and engage their residents.
