Bridging the gap between theory and practice: How can we best navigate implementation roadmaps?

This panel discussion will continue the conversation on prioritizing the research gaps and implementing the approaches identified in the updated Global Research and Action Agenda on Cities and Climate Change Science (GRAA). The updated GRAA is the primary outcome of the Innovate4Cities Conference of 2021, which placed a special focus on research and innovation as well as closing the gap between ambition and implementation. The GRAA exists to support a wide range of actors (including local governments, researchers and innovators, urban planners, private sector enterprises, international organizations and civil society groups) by highlighting key challenges that require research to inform and guide effective policy development for climate action in cities.
