District regeneration partnership in
Sofielund and Möllevången
BID Malmö is a partnership between property owners, businesses, tenant-owner associations and community organisations to increase well-being in the areas. BID is an established method standing for “business improvement district”. However, in Malmö this was changed to “boende, integration, dialog” which means “housing, integration, dialogue”. BID Malmö is also based on close collaboration with the city, community associations, authorities and researchers. Cultural activity and diversity are at the heart of the regeneration partnership. BID Sofielund and BID Möllevången cover vibrant parts of the city encompassing older residential areas and a large industrial district.
